Vintage Wedding

Alas! Here it is! The wedding dress of my dreams! Happy its mine for the taking! After a long photo shoot for nodtomod vintage, I decided to put a huge HUGE grin on my face. So I put on my wedding dress and danced in front of a mirror. This will be the dress that I wear when I finally marry my adorable bf at a quiet quaint court house. Nothing fancy...just immediate family and SMALL. I have yet to show him the dress.....or the pictures! Do you really think its bad luck for him to see the dress? Of course, he does NOT understand vintage at all. I will show him a vintage garmet that I love and get the 'ah' look from him. Once I put it on and am all accessorized......he LOVES it! I hope this isnt the case with this 20's rose lace dress.....that I will marry him in! Hope you love this dress as much as I do.

-When you shop for clothes (be it vintage or new), what do you gravitate towards? Anything that catches my eye

-What are you addicted to right now? Blogging and collecting records

-If I gave you $1000, what would you buy right now? With out a doubt, anything Chanel -$550?: I would attempt to save...

-$50?: I would visit my fave flea market and buy more records from Jim 'the Record Man'

-$5?: Starbucks Passion Tea Lemonade, my fave summer drink

-What trend are you so over? Leggings as pants... i.e. Lindsay Lohan.

-What trend are you hoping will catch on? With the current economy the way it is, I want to see more 70s style. Vintage junkies unite!

-Favorite fashion decade? The 60s-70s

-Worst fashion decade? Perhaps the 90s...

-Favorite fashion movie? Almost Famous, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Charade, Clueless, Sex and the City the Movie, The Devil Wears Prada, The Royal Tenenbaums,The Virgin Suicides... Too many!

-Favorite fashion magazine? I love too many! Harpers Bazaar, Elle, Glamour

-If you had a choice of all the designers in the world, who would you work for? Oh wow, what a question! That is such a hard one... Of course Karl Lagerfeld, Diane Von Furstenberg, Alexander Wang, Marc Jacobs, wow too hard!

-Fashion pet peeve? Girls that wear uggs and mini skirts.... Just dont do it!

-Where do you see yourself 5 years from now? I don't know... Just as long as I am happy is what matters.

I love different looks....clearly. Everyone can go buy a shirt, blouse or top from any department store and love it. The thing with vintage is that it is one of a kind......a different look. Here are some of my fav funky tops that are in my shop now.

As we are waiting for our cable to be hooked up in our new house, we have been watching "The Best of SNL". Will Ferrell, Chris Farley, Mike Meyers and of course Adam Sandler. All hilarious men, but do you find Adam Sandler handsome on his own or handsome because he is so damn funny?

Grease is Back?

I see it everywhere......tight rolled jeans and a vintage tank or tee. Of course with my wardrobe I can totally check off this list as I have both. But are tight rolled jeans really back in? I always think just simple torn loose fitted jeans are perfect......why roll? Are you a fan of the 'grease' day tight roll? Harem pants are in...like we didnt know that! I remember wearing a pair of harem pants to a going away party over 3 years ago. I was totally picked on for them as I guess they werent splashed all over the fashion mags yet. Lets just say......Im pretty happy they are in now. Total haters! Do you love or hate these saggy yet fitted pants?

Summer

Im finally happy summer is here. I love the look of a polished gal with the perfect outfit. Mini skirts.....sun dresses......peep toe flats.
