Small or Huge?

I have been thinking lately about weddings. No...Im not getting married anytime soon! A close friend of mine from wayy back in the day just got married. She had a huge lavish wedding and married a boy who we went to grade school with. It was gorgeous and the perfect love story. So from there I started thinking about how I would get married. I personally am a "go to city hall" kind of gal. Of course wear a gorgeous dress...no shocker there. Im want more of a personal feel. Small....not in any way extravagant. I would kill to wear one of these dresses. Zac Posen, Elie Saab, Dior....any girls fantasy.....until now.

I was searching with my mother through a very old 20's wedding trunk. The woman who used to own our house just left all of her belongings here! Why!? Good news though. We found a rose lace dress. Floor length....mermaid fit....sculptural shoulders and a plunging back. TO DIE FOR. A perfect fit and as soon as I put it on.....we both knew this was the one. Just a gorgeous 20's dress in a simple city hall setting. I will post of picture of the dress asap. What is your dream wedding?

Can't wait to see the dress...love the lace. My wedding was a City Hall one. The only thing I wish I had was a beautiful dress for a keepsake. I guess the hubs will have to do for the memories!!

My husband and I were just talking about this! We had a smallish wedding and even that was so busy I always recommend other people to have the small city hall ceremony or elope. I think these extravagant weddings are beautiful, but I just feel like so many people are losing site of what it's all about. I saw my husband for the ceremony, our first dance, and photo's on our wedding - that's it. I think your ideal wedding and your dress sound lovely =)

That dress sounds perfect!

I married my high school sweet heart back in 2007 and we got married at an italian church and had the reception in a hall. Ever since I was little I dreamt of walking down a long isle and having close family and friends, we had about 100 people. The wedding was beautiful and a little unusual, pumpkins, a frankenstein grooms cake and we had custom WWE tag team belts made and we came out to Triple H's music. It was quite hilarious, but it was very traditional at the same time. I wore an Oleg Cassini mermaid dress with hand sewn veil, red and black theme for the party and I was the only person in white.

I wouldn't of had it any other way!

can't wait to see the dress; it sounds awesome! sometimes large, extravagant wedding dresses just get ridiculous.
marriage is a long way off for me, but i know i want my wedding to have color. i hate the wedding receptions that are just black and white all over - how boring is that? it's a happy time that deserves to be colorful!!
